Deepest condolences to the Silla family on the passing of Ben. Ben was a teacher, coach and friend. When I first arrived at CHS, Ben's shop class was a haven from the rough and tumble life of a "greenie". In the 9th grade he was my coach. He believed enough in a skinny necked kid who simply "want to throw things". Something that changed the trajectory of my sports and my life in general. In the past few years, I had the honor to have breakfasts with he and Betty, along with Joe Lesco and Bob Urda. We shared thoughts about the current events, as well as the halcyon days at CHS. He will be missed........

Dear Betty,
You and Ben were such an important part of our lives as we were growing up. Always kind, always considerate, always nice to be with. Thank you. Yes, the pinochle game will go on in heaven. Ben has many open arms welcoming him.

Dear Silla Family,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. You all were such good neighbors on South Sedgewick Rd. I remember that your Dad would always say hello or wave as we saw each other in our driveways. I hope memories of your Dad will bring great comfort and joy as you reflect on the years you had together.
With sincere sympathy and friendship,
Gloria

Aunt Betty & the entire family, I couldnt be sorrier. I will always remember the picnics & candy hunts. My favorite uncle Ben story that my dad would repeat often. I think from collinwood days...uncle Ben proudly announced 1 year that he was all set for Christmas because he was buying aunt Betty a vacuum- well one can imagine the ribbing he took from that group. Maybe pinochle in heaven? My dad is waiting....
