I just happen to think about Joanne. I worked with her in Clinical research and she was such a super person. The world will miss her but it is God's turn to have her in his presence . I will have to wait to see her in heaven once again. Paula

So sorry to hear that one of our Pharmacy colleagues has passed away. You were taken much too young. You are in a much better place now. Rest in peace Joanne. You were an integral part of the pharmacy department and your work was exemplary.

Dear Gregg,

I am so sorry to hear that Joanne is no longer physically with us. I have worked with Joanne since 1996 and she was excellent - she helped me be a better pharmacist. She will be remembered as the very first pharmacy technician of the Investigational Drug Service ... she ran the service and taught me a lot. But, it is her vibrant personality, her smile, her beautiful face, her laugh and her concern for others that I will always remember most. I feel very fortunate to have worked with her.

I will keep you and your families in my prayers as you mourn the loss of Joanne - yet, I think she will always be with us ... and your furry children over the years ... smiling down from above. God Bless You Always, Gregg.

Joanne and I worked together in the early 90's on one of the Clinic's pharmacy satellites.. she was a very kind-hearted, funny, caring and dedicated worker that I had the privilege to know. I know all the Main campus pharmacy family will miss her tremendously... Rest in peace <3>

I came to work at Cleveland Clinic Inpatient pharmacy in 2005, I can honestly say Joanne was one of the sweetest people I have ever met during my time here, I never saw her without a smile, she was really a great person I am sure she will be missed by many, may she rest in peace.

To Gregg, Marie, Nick and Paula,

We are heartbroken to hear that beautiful young Joanne is no longer with us. Although once we stopped travelling with our parents we did not see much of each other, I am happy to have a relatively recent memory of Joanne and Gregg visiting Toronto, giving us an opportunity to spend time together and just have some fun as we checked out the local art, had a few drinks and even had a chance to take in a comedy club. Prior to that I visited Cleveland with my children, and while at the Italian festival downtown with Dolores' family, Joanne met up with us; having a passion for running, she arrived water bottle in hand and of course the rest of her running gear! That's the Joanne I'll remember - fun, athletic, beautiful.

Heaven called for Joanne far too soon. Be strong and know you are in our prayers. I believe Joanne would want all her loved ones to live life as she did - with true zest! Knowledge that she is now at peace and that one day we will all be reunited with her can comfort us all.

With love, your cousin, RoseAnn Del Balso

Sincerest condolences from Maria, Jovann, Michael and David Del Balso

Dear Gregg,

I'm so very sorry for your loss. My dear friend Joanne was one of the most courageous people I have ever met. Through it all, she never complained once and and was always concerned about everyone else. I will miss and love her forever.

I am writing this with great sadness over the unimaginable loss of a best friend of 45 years. Joanne lost a 2 year, eight month battle with cancer. She took each day in stride, never really complaining and was always positive. She was a beautiful, brave, strong woman who I admired immensely. She was a wonderful friend that supported me through thick and thin. I am truly blessed to have had her as my best friend for all these years. I will miss her dearly and she will never be forgotten. I love you Joanne.
Your BFF,
