EVELYN OZINGA (nee Heinz), age 92, passed away September 3, 2018 at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord after a brief illness. She was born October 13, 1925 in Willoughby to Henry F. and Alice Heinz. A homemaker and talented artist, Evelyn painted in both oils and watercolors. She taught Sunday School, enjoyed sailing, loved golf, was a long-time skier and for a time raised and showed Arabian Horses. She was the beloved wife of the late Tice, loving mother of Cheryl Harshall (husband Tawn) of Butler, PA, foster mother of Cynthia Bauer Ward of Lombard, IL, George Bauer (wife Mickey) of Strongsville, devoted grandmother of Tami D'Amico (husband Tony, deceased) of Painesville Township, Holly Farwell (husband John) of Eastlake, John Ozinga (wife Tanya, deceased) of Sharpsville, PA, Aaron Ward (wife Jenna) of St. Louis, MO, great grandmother of 7 and mother-in-law of Vickie Ozinga of Painesville. She was preceded in death by her son Douglas Ozinga, sisters Eleanor and Alice and her brothers Milton, Lester, Emerson, Laverne and Henry. FRIENDS MAY CALL FRIDAY FROM 11 AM UNTIL 12 NOON AT THE CENTER at LEROY COMMUNITY CHAPEL, 12791 Painesville-Warren Rd., Leroy, Oh 44077 followed by FUNERAL SERVICES AT 12 NOON. Graveside Services will follow at Mentor Cemetery.

I will always remember the fun we had doing a photo shoot, such a lovely lady! She will be remembered fondly.

Aunt Ev was like a second mother to me! She was a wonderful Godly woman and taught me so much during my visits with her and Uncle Tice♥ Their love for each other and The Lord was a great example to me!!
