Tribute & Message From The Family

Lynne B. Taylor (nee Bartel), born November 28, 1948, passed away at the age of 69. Lynne is survived by her son Derek (Kristen) Taylor and daughter Brittany Taylor, and sisters Susan (Olaf) Rekowski and Donna (John) Tretock. Dear Aunt to Justin Rekowski, Chelsea (Jarred) VandeMark, Kelly (Ron) Cherni, John Tretock and Jill (Eric) Girad; and cousins Garry O'Neil and Wayne (Ann) O'Neill. Preceded in death by her loving father and mother, Wayne and Sylvia Bartel.

Lynne, a self-proclaimed rebel and rule breaker, was a graduate of Brush High School (class of 1967). After attending Kent State University, she traveled the world as a free spirited, fiercely independent, tender-hearted adventurer. She loved travel, nature, animals, sunsets, reading and music, especially The Beatles (John Lennon) and Eric Clapton.

In lieu of flowers, donations to honor Lynne's memory can be made to the Cleveland Animal Protective League (APL). Memorial visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, November 2 at Fioritto Funeral Home at 5236 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst (E of Richmond Rd).

Derek & Brittany - I just heard about your Mom's passing, I am so sorry to hear this. Can't even imagine how devastated you both are after just losing your Dad too. Both your Mom and your Dad were wonderful people. I hope all the wonderful memories will help you get thru this very sad time. You are both in our prayers, so very sorry for your loss.

Lynn was a wonderful person and will be dearly missed. Our hearts go out to Brittany and Derek & Kristen. She was a great mother and mother-in-law to them. Her loss was much too soon after the loss of their father. May time and the love of family and friends help them heal.
God Bless,

Although I didn't know Lynne personally, I came to know and love her children Derek and Brittany and know she is proud to have helped raise such wonderful adults. My condolences to her family and friends for their loss.

Lynne and her whole family have been such a large part of my life since we were both two years old. I have so many fond memories of her parents Sylvia and Wayne, her sister Susan, and Mrs. Pink. I especially treasure the visit she and Brittany made to Florida when Brittany graduated high school. My biggest regret is not being able to say goodbye before her passing.
