Elio Berardinelli, beloved husband for 43 years of Iole (nee Ianiro), loving father of Alana Rowley (husband Thomas), Andrew and Daniel (wife Danielle) Berardinelli, devoted Nonno Elio of Giuliana, Eliott, Simona, Lila and Sammy, loving son of Elisa (nee Piscitelli) and the late Orlando Berardinelli, dear brother of Josephine Evans, Gino Berardinelli (wife Stacy), Anna Hocevar (husband Greg), Lillian Rybak (husband John), Elaine Pietrangelo and Paula Berardinelli, loving uncle of many, dear son-in-law of Domenico and Maria Ianiro (both deceased), loving brother-in-law of Loreto Ianiro (wife Candida), Nello Ianiro (wife Lina), Rina Cesa (husband Romano), Venere DiFiore (husband Tony), Franco Ianiro (wife Joanne) and Giovanni Ianiro (wife Justine).

Entombment All Souls Cemetery. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Monday at Holy Redeemer Church.
FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE FIORITTO FUNERAL HOME, 5236 MAYFIELD RD., LYNDHURST (EAST OF RICHMOND ROAD)
ON SUNDAY FROM 2-6 PM.

I'm at a loss for words. I feel fortunate to have known Elio and experienced some great moments together when our boys played on the same sports teams. I can still hear him yelling "Atta boy, Ross", which was one of his ways to tease Rita (my wife) about her incessant cheering of our son. There were other quips that still make me smile. What a great sense of humor. Rest easy friend.

As a brother-in-law to Elio for 46 years I will surely miss him also as a friend. We had fun at the great parties he and Iole put together for the family, as well as playing pinochle, golf and bocci. He always had a quick jab with a joke, and never stopped bantering me about being Slovenian. Iole, we will miss this great man. We love you and your beautiful family.
